She doesn’t understand that I love it, and I need to make her see the real face of Irish Dancing. Yes, I know that some girls are like that stereotype, but most aren’t. I am 16 years old, and have no experience in dance, but have always loved to watch ballet and ballroom dancing. Every year I go and see the Nutcracker, and return home twirling around the kitchen. I also love to go to church dances, and often dream of dancing at a ball (or something similar). I want to sign up for one of these classes, not to become a professional at it, but to get in shape, have something to be proud of, and also to feel pretty. Which do you think I should do?

I really want to start dancing lyrical. Every year when SYTYCD comes on, my heart aches to be able to do even a fraction of what they can. (dramatic phrasing ik haha) But I’m 15 and I’m afraid I’ll be a giant among two year olds if I start ): Soooooo how do I get into lyrical? Should I take another style before getting into it? I love to dance and coreograph espically ballet. I want to persue it as a career, but where I live no one will hire you without a degree. I’m 20 years old and have been dancing on and off for 14 years.
I’m ready to start college, I just don’t know what to major in to get the degree I need to pursue ballet as a career.
